At Châtel Chalets we provide a variety of services for owners whose principal residence is not in the Vallee d’Abondance, making owning and running a second property easier and less stressful.

  • Key holding

    Our keyholding service offers property owners the peace of mind that, should the need arise, the property can be accessed at any time.

    If the property is for sole use of the owner we keep one set of keys.

    If guests are using the property we will require two or three sets of keys. We can arrange for additional sets to be cut as necessary.

    The keyholding service offered in our basic monthly management fee includes:

    • Regular property checks. Checking for any problems or signs of intrusion by insects or animals
    • Heating turned on and off before and after visits
    • Mains and hot water turned on and off before and after visits. If the gap between visits is less than two weeks we advise leaving water and heating on to save money, especially during colder months.
  • Meet and greet

    We meet your guests upon arrival, furnish them with keys and explain all relevant information about the property e.g. where to store skis or the Wi-Fi code for the internet

  • Key management

    We keep your keys safe and secure and ensure that they are available for your guests on arrival

  • Changeover

    This service is designed for owners who want their property to be pre-prepared for guest’s arrival and who wish to have a local contact in the resort.

    The changeover service includes the following:

    Owner liaison - we liaise with the property owner to gather details of the guests – arrival dates, numbers, bed making instructions etc. Thereafter we will manage everything else.

    Guest liaison - we advise guests on arrangements for arrival in resort and directions to the property.

    Advance preperation - we can prebook arrange organise various services to make their arrival as smooth as possible, for example, ski and boot hire, ski lessons, lift passes, bike hire or a local restaurant for a special occasion

  • key appliances

    We ensure that key appliances are working before your guests arrive. This includes the dishwasher, oven, TV and internet.

  • heating

    We ensure that the property is warm and welcoming

  • Emergency contact

    As part of our changeover services your clients will have our contact details, so should there be any issues they will always be have someone local that they can contact, who speaks English and French and has a good knowledge of local doctors, tradesmen or just a really good bar or place to eat.
